Dipped in Chocolate and Wine

It was a busy dolly weekend for me! Lots of making things, and finishing off some commissions. I wanted to share with you one of the girls from the weekend, a chocolate and wine coloured girl for Angie.

WIP

I’ve been slowly updating the supplies that I’ve been using to create the dolls. I’ve been in love with my airbrush recently, it makes applying colour and detail such a breeze. It was also a nightmare when I started, and I’m happy to have practiced enough to get it working!

Angie commissioned a soft-lolita-esque girlie. I wanted to do something in warm browns and pinks and a fushia-coloured lip. Her cheeks are peachy to match with the browns.

She’s sporting some wicked chips from Puppelina and a choco-brown wig from Leekeworld.

Her eyelids have been metallic-airbrushed a wine-magenta and chocolate brown, with stripes and little flowers painted on.

As this was a face-up commission she was sans body and hair, and I kind of wanted to dress her up for photos! I got some new clothes from Clear Lan (at the suggestion of Aquabliss, thanks!) and they are such lovely fitting and gorgeously modern! I think I’ll have to make another order soon. I just loved all the clothes that came.

I think she is such a sweet looking girl, and I am hopeful she will be happy in her new home!

Ah, I love dolly weekends. Such a relaxing way to spend the days, making dolls, eating, taking photos, eating, painting, eating.

Next week is BC Chicago! I can’t wait to see all the photos. I’ve been loving the updates I’ve been seeing of BCUK and Blythe Fest (next year I will definitely make it to Blythe Fest!). Hope you all had an awesome weekend too!
