Groove has been going on a rampage where they’ve been re-releasing some old favourites. When they announced that Luna was making a return many collectors (myself included) jumped on it. She used to be over $300USD, and has now returned to $144 USD on Pullipstyle.
Luna is the older sister to Tokidoki x Hello Kitty Violetta. She was originally released in December 2012 and features that same spunky faceup that I loved so much on Violetta (but of course, still unique!)
Luna comes with a bit more stock than Violetta did at a lower price-point (I’m sure this is because of the Hello Kitty collab and they had to make money back somehow!) She comes with a scale Tokidoki bag (which they actually sell human size!), rockin’ pumps, stripped thigh-high socks, tank and skirt (and a secondary top as well – not pictured), a studded collar, a hat (which, like Violetta’s my mother keeps taking off whenever she comes) and tattoo stickers.
Luna comes with absolutely fabulous and soft two-toned hair. I think they might have updated her hair fibre from her previous release as the wig feels very similar to Violetta’s and Yeolume’s.
It’s a pretty amazing haircolour right! Blond with an under-dye of hot blue, and bright green streaks through it! She’s super unique in her own way.
Her faceup features a hot pink lip, strong eyeliner, blushed cheeks and deep black eyechips – much like the other Tokidoki releases. I think this faceup looks absolutely stunning on the Pullip dolls. She’s not as fierce as Violetta, with softer brows to shape her eyes, but boy, she does have spunk!
She’s a wonderful release and it’s not surprising that she sold out so quickly the first time (and also got a pink recolour!).
She’s totally giving attitude to all the rest of the girls on my shelf 😀
