I’m not a Dal person. She has a grumpy face, funny eyes – in fact, I only have 3 Dals (Risa, Joujou and Heiwa). But, let’s just say when I fall for one of these girls, I fall heavily.
Dal Chibi Risa was released in November 2010, as a collaboration between Groove and Risa Hirako (owner of the brand Three Unicorns), who designed her, based on herself (chibi being a “small version” of yourself). Chibi Risa was so popular she was released in two versions, Risa Sweet, and Risa Vintage Rock Chick. After falling in love with her pompoms, I found her available on Mandarake.
She comes with a LOT of stock. And I mean alot. From what you can see alone, she comes with a specially designed T-Shirt, a fur-trimmed Mouton Coat, Denim Pants, a two piece studded belt, sparkly tights, cowboy boots, giant knit hat, heart shaped sunglasses, a vintage style boho bag, gold necklace with a heart pendant, a braided hair accessory, a blue feathered hair tie, and a feathered headband. *takes deep breath*. Here are some photos of the stock in the box.
She has a gorgeous face-up that I think looks amazing on the Dal mould. She has big, peachy, pouty lips, pink smokey eyes, brown eyechips and a little mole under her eye. Her wig is of excellent quality, and is a straight, chocolate brown.
Because she’s been in her box for 5 years, my Chibi Risa had a few kinks in her hair. No matter though, because it looks like she was just out last night and added a lot of volume to her locks!
Here she is in all her vintage rock glory. How amazing does she look? She’s filled with attitude, and has great personality to boot.
I love her little golden headband, it looks so chic on her. It is a velcroed golden band with a little peacock feather at the top. It’s attached with little diamantes. She looks ready to hit the stage, or winter music festival.
To add to her attitude filled self, she also comes with the most glam red hearted sunglasses with sparklies. She rocks the sunglasses more than Cherry Beach sunset I reckon!
You can just see her pouty lips and little nose peeking out from under those giant shades.
She also comes with one of my favourite pieces of stock ever, a snowy-white beanie with gigantic pompoms. She looks fab in it 😀
Dal Chibi Risa is hard to find these days, but she remains one of my favourite releases of all time in the Pullip family. I just think she is an incredibly well designed and put together design. Brimming with character, gorgeous stock, and a wonderful face-up. She’s a bit difficult to get nowadays, but if you ever see one pop up for a reasonable price, I wouldn’t hesitate to add her to your collection.
