The Updated Liquid Wishlist

I remember rambling on a while back about wishlists girls! I’ve been able to feed some funds back into my hobby by selling some older girls, and doing some other work, trading some things… so happily my Dolly Kitty is healthy once more.

I wanted to revisit the wishlist from a few months ago to see how I have gone. But, also because I wanted to now re-rank the girls I really want. I’ve noticed that as I have been collecting more, I’m starting to understand what I like in a doll and my collection has therefore…”matured” with me. Hence, there will be a few girls leaving my dollhouse over the next few months.

#1: Neo Blythe My Melody. I friggen love her. I’m watching Yahoo Japan auctions like a hawk hoping that she’ll pop up for a reasonable price. I’m just completely enamoured by her lilac cuteness. I love that stuff. I am actively engaged in an auction right now. It’s my 7th auction that I’ve tried on… her inflation is killing me.

Things have changed a bit around here! Due to the AUD losing 30% of its value against the USD this year, my buying capability has dropped dramatically but, has been okay against the yen, so Mandarake is still ~~awesome~~ (pure evil). My husband has started to give me the “look” because my dolls are everywhere now. I think I might have a dolly real-estate problem.

I have Blythe my melody on my wish list too! I’m hoping to find her someday for a better price, ebay is too awful right now 😦
Btw is one of your les jeunette blythes getting an almond doll face up?

Hee, almond doll posted what looked like a work in progress on a jeunette, and I was like wait a minute 🙂 she looks already very cute 🙂
That’s an awesome price for my melody. The ebay listings are upwards of 600 USD, so I think she’ll be on my dolly wish list for a little while longer…

  The eBay auctions are almost 30% more than the YHJ at the moment! Wouldn’t be able to justify it haha. Time to get my nerd on and use all those skills sourcing collectibles from Japan in my youth to look for her!
  
  The almond les jeunette looks so pretttty!!! I’m pretty sure my name is spelt just weirdly enough for me to be recognisable haha. I was so excited when she sent me the photos!!!

I also have My melody on my wish list, but I think she will be the girl I covet from afar. Oooh who is your Cadence majorette customized by?

  It’s by Chantilly Lace! Her prices are wonderfully affordable. She’s getting a wicked re-root 😀
  The last 3-4 auctions I followed on YHJ had her going for $300, 350, 360 USD. Thankfully buying against the yen is still okay for me, I can’t afford the $600USD girls on eBay (crazy inflation!). I wonder how many of the My Melody girls they made 😀

My wishlist is constantly growing, because I keep learning about more wonderful dolls I can’t afford. 😦 Though over this summer I did at least get the Pullip Megurine Luka I’d been wanting for years, so there have been good sides, too. 😀

Speaking of things I (probably) can’t afford…how much are you asking for Le Jardin Maman?

  Megurine is lovely!!! I have Miku but nothing else from that set yet! Le Jardin Maman was going for $430 (a bit lower than her $500 going rate) but I was literally just about to update this post as she has been put on layaway for someone!

    Luka was the first Pullip I ever saw in person, and I fell in love with her right then, but I hadn’t gotten into collecting them yet, and by the time I did, she’d gotten hard to find, so I had the worst trouble getting her, but I’ve been so thrilled now that I finally did. 😀 I don’t have Miku yet–still not sure if I’m going to get her, in fact–but she’s very pretty, too; I always feel tempted to try picking her up…
    
    Wow, that was definitely out of my price range! (I’m so broke it’s not even funny.) I just had to ask, y’know? I figured she was probably much more than I could afford–I don’t actually have any Blythes yet, so I don’t know anything about their prices–but I thought it couldn’t hurt to ask. I keep wanting to break into Blythe-collecting, but the overall price point seems to be just a bit higher than Pullip, and Pullip was already more than I should be spending, so it’s sort of an exercise in “why did I pick a hobby I can’t afford?” and yet I can’t stop myself. Sigh…I need to get a high paying job and/or win the lottery. (Of course, to win the lottery, I would first have to actually *enter* the lottery…)

    hahah I feel the same thing about the lottery!
    Some of the newer Blythe girls (like Country Summer, Cadence Majorette) are $125-140USD shipped – or for example Les Jeunette was $120 new. Older girls with smaller releases like Maman is around $500, Margo is $1000! So it really depends on the release. A few of my Pullips cost more than my Blythes!
