Soldier of the Deep Waters, Soldier of Embrace, Soldier of the Sea, Princess Neptune. Michiru (or Michelle in the western anime adaptation) is arguably the most elegant of the Sailor Scouts in civilian form and in magic girl form – and this has translated to her gorgeous Pullip incarnation.
Merl. Kiyomi. Ally. These girls are constantly listed as perfect “beginner” dolls to introduce you into the Pullip world. With Merl – it’s not hard to see why. Re-chippable, flexible, and gorgeous, she constantly tops favourite lists. When she came back on sale after a period being of being difficult to find, I had to add her to my dolly family.

A few weeks ago, I sent one of my gorgeous Les Jeunette’s off to Floriana of Almond Doll for a new look. It was a bit of a tough decision, as Les Jeunette is one of my favourites (this blog used to be named for her after all…) but I couldn’t resist. Almond Doll has been one of my favourite customisers for a really long time.

It is the second week of September, and the sun has finally come out of its long hibernation over the Australian winter, and we were greeted with this lovely, lovely, warm spring day. And what better to do then to make dolls, and photograph dolls! Outdoors! Fresh Air! Quick Drying Things!
There are a lot of dolls that come and go at the Dollhouse, some that take a little longer to bond with, and then theres those that will always hold a special place in your heart – an instant beauty if you will.
So let me introduce you to Pulliip Dahlia Cinderella.
I’m not a Dal person. She has a grumpy face, funny eyes – in fact, I only have 3 Dals (Risa, Joujou and Heiwa). But, let’s just say when I fall for one of these girls, I fall heavily.
The ‘Flower Shower’ girls (Penny and Berry) were the 18th Limited Edition releases for JerryBerry, and the Summer release for JerryBerry. When they were announced, I love all the teaser photographs for them. Light, airy, with a little summer breeze. The girls looked sleepy and glowy as they passed summer days and nights. With this in mind, and keen to see what the process was like to order a Limited doll from Jerryberry, plus I was in my Jerryberry loving mode. Penny arrived 6 weeks after I ordered her.
I remember rambling on a while back about wishlists girls! I’ve been able to feed some funds back into my hobby by selling some older girls, and doing some other work, trading some things… so happily my Dolly Kitty is healthy once more.
