It’s been a busy few weeks at Project Doll House. I’ve had a serious amount of visitors passing through on their way home, a few commissions (that you might have seen on my instagram!) and also the arrival of this new girl – a Minifee Chloe. Although I have a Lati Yellow, this Minifee feels like my introduction to a whole new dolly world.

Lola, Oh sweet Lola
February is a horribly busy month for me. I teach an intensive at the University where we try to build a huge structure in a fortnight, and let’s just say its one tiring slog with not much sleep. Completely exhausting, and barely any sleep (I’m like a zombie that has emerged from a deep bottomless pit) so I apologize for the very slow dolly updates! (I’m also having an awful time deciding which girl to get… Kiyomi Mint? My Melody? The Little Prince girls? AH! TOO MANY, February!). I’ve managed over the last few days to get some rest, and now finally I can get back into my dolly mojo.
I managed to sneak over to pick up six very fabulous visitors though, which I will slowly introduce to everyone here. I also managed to do a very quick photoshoot with the first two… and what an absolutely special girl I have today.
Everyone, meet Lola.
Eve Sweet – Saccharine and Pink
Eve Sweet is a Springtime (well… at least in Australia) release that is so filled with sugar she kind of left me flabbergasted. She’s overly saccharine, soaked in pinks and pastels, and all-in-all… a little bit different. Let me introduce you to the mori-esque pastel girl, Eve.
Poison Girl Chibi – Pretty in Pink
When it rains it pours right? I lusted over Poison Girl Pullips for the longest time, and I would wake up in the middle of the night (3am) to attempt to bid on or purchase one of her girls. Girls would dissapear within seconds – my internet could barely catch up. Toffee arrived recently and I was completely smitten. A few days later I was browsing facebook, when Chibi suddenly appeared for adoption. I pounced. Time differences later, Chibi came to live at Project Doll House. And I was over the moon.
tokidoki x Hello Kitty Violetta Pullip
Spunk. Attitude. Violetta just rocks it. In between the Alice releases and Anime collabs, every now and again Groove releases an amazing Pullip, and with Violetta, they really hit the nail on the head. On JPGroove’s website she is listed as the most popular release of 2014, and it’s pretty easy to see why once you have her in your hands.
Alice is Romantic, a Review.
The Master of Disguise arrives in the mail
This weekend was my Hens (Bachelorette) party. I was picked up by my friends and spirited off for a weekend of pampering and relaxation and general partying! It was such an awesome weekend and I […]
Udon, my Noodle-legged Yeolume
Yeolume is a weird little dolly in the Pullip family. She appeared for two releases (Podo and Blackberry) before her releases dried up faster than the Sahara. I’d be the first to admit that she wasn’t my favourite dolly, but after seeing some truly gorgeous versions of her… I decided she may have potential as a customisation.
Gumji, the Ruby-Haired Blythe
Blythe dolls are a curiosity to me. Their large heads, shiny faces, and eyes that change colour. It was through browsing Flickr and seeing Almond Doll’s and Hola Gominola’s that I started to love this weird little gal.
