Rock on, Britt Forever

Oh man. I’m looking at my blog post calendar in my planner in shame. It’s been 1.5 weeks! I’ve had 4 posts planned in that period of time, but work has gotten the better of me (work, not even life! 1/3/4/5 am days, boo to you!). The weather has also been horrible, making it horrendous for doll work and sealant – and happy photographs. I’ve been a mopey lady the last week, the husband has even commented. A non-dolly me is a grumpy me it seems :D.

One thing that did perk me up though, was when Britt got to visit for a few days.

Juniper, Miss Peppermint Goodness

I’ve had two Simply Peppermint’s and each time, I can’t bond to them. So, I sent them both off to get a new lease on life, and the first came home this week – Juniper (I named her Juniper meaning young and evergreen). Juniper was sent to the talented Christine at Forty Dolly Winks and I asked her to have fantasy coloured eyeshadows… and a secret little smile.

Giddiness, Fluffiness and Unicorns. Miss My Melody makes her entrance.

Yay.

I’ve never quite fallen in love with a girl before she was even announced. Junko Wong posted a sneak peak of My Melody back in January, with her big fluffy ears and bright pink hair… and I was completely smitten. She’s an adventure to get this girl, but she’s full of snuggliness, and I understand that weird name “Softly Cuddly you and Me” – she looks like she could give you a good hug. I’d like to introduce you to the newest girl in my collection, and the one I’ve had to jump through the most hoops to get.

Pic heavy because I think I have a duty to share her – she’s a rare beast at the moment.

Yay.

Brunette Power and Unfortunate Fashion Choices

Recently I have been totally loving on my brunette girls Agnes (Lorshek Molseh) and my dark-locked Kenner Raven. I received a new hat from from Momo Penguinbaby which was this gorgeous knitted thing with built-in earmuffs and a tiny shroom on top, as well as a new dress from the Pumpkinbelle. So why not have the chocolate-haired girls model?

Comparing the different bodies for Blythe

Recently, I’ve been looking at re-bodying my Forty Winks girl Quinn as I wanted a younger look for her. I was thinking of putting her on a Licca body (which I will do a tutorial for soon) but while I was at it, I thought I would show you the difference between three of the most popular Blythe bodies: the Standard Takara, the Pure Neemo S and the Licca.

<Warning! Dolly Nudity! Everywhere in this post!>

Lounging in the sun, miss Cherry Beach Sunset

I was disappointed when I didn’t win the lottery for Cherry Beach – but I guess one of the pros of yammering on about dolls all the time is that my friends start to recognise that I love them. One of them, happening upon this “Tan girl with a blue dress” in Hong Kong, asked me if I wanted to pick her up. Of course I did – and she was within $10 of RRP. I was stoked.
