Lola, Oh sweet Lola

February is a horribly busy month for me. I teach an intensive at the University where we try to build a huge structure in a fortnight, and let’s just say its one tiring slog with not much sleep. Completely exhausting, and barely any sleep (I’m like a zombie that has emerged from a deep bottomless pit) so I apologize for the very slow dolly updates! (I’m also having an awful time deciding which girl to get… Kiyomi Mint? My Melody? The Little Prince girls? AH! TOO MANY, February!). I’ve managed over the last few days to get some rest, and now finally I can get back into my dolly mojo.

I managed to sneak over to pick up six very fabulous visitors though, which I will slowly introduce to everyone here. I also managed to do a very quick photoshoot with the first two… and what an absolutely special girl I have today.

Everyone, meet Lola.

Onwards to 2016! The lessons learnt in 2015.

I’ve been seeing a lot of reflection posts for 2015, but I didn’t make it in time (working till the last day boo!). However, 2015 was a really exciting year for me in dolly-collecting, and I feel that I’ve matured a lot and really worked out what I love, don’t love, and what (dolly) resolutions I have for 2016. I think this might be my first -true- blog post, so beware, pic heavy, long, and rambly.

The Dolly Community and the One that sends you over the edge

So I’ve been writing about these Jerryberry dolls and then spending hours (waiting for trains, students, models, the husband) browsing on Flickr in my spare time. And then it happened. I saw this picture:

Good Morning

Yeeeeeep. That did it. If you ever want to browse an absolutely stunning photographic doll feed that is horribly enabling, please look at her Flickr.

My Slight Identity Crisis

ProjectDollHouseI’ve had a bit of an identity crisis over the weekend and got confused with my Les Jeunette Doll with my blog. I ummed and ah’d over the name of it before and I was never fully decided on it. I’ve started embarking on my doll-house adventures (a team of architects can do this… and I wanted my blog to be more ‘doll’ if that makes sense – at least with the name). First I wanted to redo my logo, and then I decided I wanted to change the name of my blog. And then I did it. Talk about being compulsive!
