Hello Little Grumpy Face and Other Updates

I have a thing for grumpy faced dolls. I find them completely adorable, a little disapproving frown, thinking, what are you doing Owner Lady, why did you dress me so silly? When I had an opportunity to send my dolly to the Queen of the Adorable Grumpy Face (S.Cola Custom Dolls) I literally jumped at the opportunity. As a preface, thank you Sylvia for making my girlie so awesome!

Introducing Rosamund~

This post is very, very late in the making! Life got out of control during the last month (so… many…projects) but finally I have some time to sit down for some Dolly Time! And so, for that, I want to introduce you to this stunning lady, my Unoa Sist 1.5, who I’ve named Rosamund (she was Marshmallow previously… but got too cool for her name… it’s funny how that happens!) – but now, please meet Rosamund. She’s just completely photogenic, and captured my heart.

Blythe Fest 2016!

I went to my first ever dolly event on the weekend. The first time I heard about Blythe Fest, Australia’s annual Blythe celebration, I was away and couldn’t attend, and the next few times it was in a different state, and at the time I was tied to my desk at work. Wig Attempt 2.0 – Alpaca Locks for breakfast.

Last week, I made my first alpaca wig from the alpaca hair I had lying around (in white, and I had some pink dye for some locks – from some forgotten dreams of Blythe re-rooting) but I felt that it didn’t really suit my girl. Olive said it made her look a little punk – and I agreed with her – it wasn’t quite the look I was planning, but I did what I could on hand as I couldn’t stand her bald ha!

Callie, the Pink Sister

I was so excited to see another creator’s label doll released this year. This time, it was a pair of twins (Callie & Cassie) by the fabulous HAPPYDOLLY/Memento  (I’ve linked here to the promo pictures and her facebook profile). I thought I was on a pullip wind-down, but as soon as you say that of course, you fall in love with another. It took me a while to decide on just one sister (it was hard not going to lie), but she arrived in all her glory straight from Japan this week. Let’s meet Callie.

Minifee Chloe – Unboxing and new things

It’s been a busy few weeks at Project Doll House. I’ve had a serious amount of visitors passing through on their way home, a few commissions (that you might have seen on my instagram!) and also the arrival of this new girl –  a Minifee Chloe. Although I have a Lati Yellow, this Minifee feels like my introduction to a whole new dolly world.
